Homewood woman dies shortly after injecting face with beef fat
Autopsy scheduled for later Friday to determine cause of death

A woman fromHomewood died Thursday after apparently injecting her face with heated beef fat.
According to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office, 63-year-old Janet Hardt was pronounced dead at 6:25 p.m. at Advocate South Suburban Hospital in Hazel Crest
Shortly before her death, Hardt injected beef fat around her mouth and chin. She went to the hospital afterwards complaining that her face felt like it was burning, said a source.
An autopsy is scheduled for later today to determine Hardt's cause of death.
