CHINO HILLS-- A crisis was averted when a small plane made an emergency landing-- right in the middle of a golf course green at a local country club.

A small plane reportedly ran out of fuel around 2:20 p.m. Sunday, and made a bumpy landing at the Los Serranos Country Club at 15656 Yorba Linda Avenue, according to Eric Christman, a golf course employee.

The plane collided with a flag pole and a golf cart on its way down, witnesses said.

The golfer driving the cart reportedly had to jump out to avoid being hit by the plane, which left extensive damage to the small vehicle.

No injuries were reported, according to San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department officials, who remain on the scene investigating.
