LOS ANGELES -- Pop star Britney Spears is speaking out about a former bodyguard who claims she sexually harassed him and abused her children.

Spears posted a statement on her website, calling Fernando Flores someone who "is trying to take advantage of the Spears family and make a name for himself."

She also denied claims by Flores that she abused her children, saying: "The Department of Children and Family Services conducted a proper investigation surrounding Mr. Flores' accusations and have closed the case without any further action."

The statement went on to say, "Ms. Spears and her attorneys have every expectation that this matter will be dismissed by the courts."

Flores claims Spears made "unwanted sexual advances" at him by repeatedly exposing herself in front of him in her home and performing sex acts in front of him.

The suit also names Advanced Security Concepts Corp.

In documents filed in Los Angeles Wednesday, Flores describes several instances of alleged sexual harassment.

Flores claims that on one occasion Spears -- wearing a white lace, see-through dress -- intentionally dropped a cigarette lighter and bent over to pick it up, exposing her genitals.

The suit states, "The incident caused [Flores] shock and disgust."

Flores also claims that after another time when Spears allegedly exposed herself to him, she said, "You know you like it."

The suit also alleges that Spears "engaged in numerous sex acts in front of [Flores]."

Additionally, Flores makes several allegations that involve Spears' young children.

He says that on one occasion, Spears was "loudly having sexual relations" in a hotel suite where her kids were present. It's unclear if the children saw anything.

Flores also claims Spears abused her children.

He says she once demanded his belt, then allegedly "savagely" hit her son Preston with it.

Spears also allegedly fed her kids crabmeat, despite serious fish allergies, which made them both sick. Flores says Spears then refused to get them medical help.

Flores was hired in February 2010 but does not state how long he worked on Spears' detail.

Spears remains under a court-ordered conservatorship, in which her personal and financial affairs are controlled by her father and an attorney, and monitored by a judge.

Spears, 28, has frequent visits with her sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, who she had with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

He has not sought any changes to their custody arrangement in recent months, court records show.
