My Class of '79 was the last class to graduate from this building. It was switched over to a middle school the following year (and a lot of fresh everlasting swimming pool records went void after that?!?), and high schoolers went to a new building out by the old Jr. High on Carter Road off of North St.. The Jr. High on North St. became an elementary school.
These photos were taken during an open house a month before the building was retired from public school use. The community college (FLCC) tried to move in there after leaving the Civic Center building, I don't know how successful that was.
