CHITTENANGO, NY -- "Holy Cow."
Those were the words of Oz Fest co-director Barb Evans after bad storms raced through Central New York this morning.
Reports of a possible tornado touching down are coming into CNY Central. Although, that will not be confirmed until the National Weather Service surveys the area sometime next week.
Evans says it must have been fate to have a possible tornado rip through the Oz Fest.
"Oz Fest makes so many people happy, and everyone goes out of their way to make people happy," she said, "but I guess a tornado is part of our extravaganza this year. It's fitting."
Evans said, by all accounts, everyone is okay except for one person who sufferred a minor shoulder injury.
Meanwhile, West Park in Chittenango has been closed due to safety concerns. The Emerald City Idol Conest has been postponed and will be rescheduled at a later date. The Munchkin signings, however, are being moved to the American Legion Post on Legion Drive this afternoon between 1-5 p.m.

More Damage
Oz Fest was far from the only place affected by today's storms.
Patti Newell, Chittenango, was in the shower when the storm raced through around 9:30 a.m.
"The winds picked up, we heard a rumbling noise, it got dark and trees came down around us," she said, "it happened so fast I couldn't even tell my sons to run for cover."
You can look through the pictures Patti sent CNY Central at the top of the page, along with a picture from our Jack Estabrook.
We've also recieved word of damage on the north shore of Oneida Lake.
A crew is on its way back with much more.
Stay with CNY Central for updates.
