Not getting 000 on the quarter note for keyboard beat matching.

I was hitting a certain drum sound in sync with the metronome while recording and this is the event view of what I did. There's 120 samples per quarter note, so my early hits were at the previous quarter note with a high number like 119-. Late events were on the correct quarter note with a low figure of like 001+.

I was just goofing around on a first take testing the latency of my Akai LPK25, and finding out I am nothing but USER ERROR with this thing, lol. Tempo was 75 bpm.

It will take some practice to beat match without falling into some epileptic trance, OMG!

60 seconds / 75 beats per minute = 0.8 sec / beat
0.8 seconds / 120 samples per beat = 2/3rds of 1/100 of a second / sample = 0.0066667 seconds / sample
So if I'm off by 6 samples at a 75 bpm tempo, that equals 0.04 seconds off.  (114, 006)

480 samples per measure (4/4) / 6 sample error margin = 1/80th note
