SULPHUR, OKLA (KTLA) -- An adorable 3-month-old puppy deemed dead after being euthanized was found very much alive in a trash bin outside a dog shelter.

The puppy, along with the rest of his litter, was left outside of the shelter last Friday evening. Because the young puppies were sick, they were all given lethal doses of a sedative before they were put in a dumpster outside of the shelter.

The next morning, whimpers led an animal control officer to the dumpster -- one puppy was indeed alive.

The miracle puppy was named WALL-E after the Pixar movie robot who was the last of his kind.

WALL-E is currently looking for a home. Shelter employees have received a slew of offers from prospective owners who have been touched by his story.
