ANAHEIM (KTLA) -- After 160 million views, local 13-year-old singer Rebecca Black has removed her music video "Friday" from YouTube.

Black's video, which became an internet sensation since it was posted online in February, was taken down for copyright violation -- by Black herself.

"Friday" was recently put on YouTube Rentals and users were asked to pay $2.99 to watch the video. The video, without the paywall, was restored but has since been taken down.

Instead of playing her video a note on the page saying it is "no longer available due to a copyright claim by Rebecca Black," and "Sorry about that" from YouTube.

The music video has landed her in the media spotlight recently, with the teen becoming a trending topic on Twitter, ranking on iTunes and even making appearances on the late-night talk show circuit.

Black's family says the girl's management company and production company have received threats via e-mail and telephone demanding that the video be taken off the Internet, Anaheim Police Sgt. Rick Martinez told the OC Register.

Martinez told the Register that investigators don't know the intent of the threats but are taking them seriously.

Black is an eighth grader at an undisclosed Orange County middle school.
