PORT HANELES - A 21-year-old man is in trouble after a bazaar string of events ended with him in handcuffs. The man was arrested wearing a banana costume and carrying a shotgun.

On Tuesday, Port Angeles Police responded to reports of a man exposing himself to a woman in a local Wendy's restaurant. The witness told 911 dispatchers the suspect was wearing a children's banana costume.

The man was arrested for Indecent Exposure, Reckless Endangerment and Unlawful Carrying or Handling of a Firearm.

The shotgun and banana costume have been checked into evidence.
