A group of students recorded the whole thing on their phones as boy was beaten inside a locker room at Roseville High School. They then posted the tape to YouTube. Police arrested the teen who threw the punches, but the victim’s family wants to see more action from the school.
The victim, Alex, says the fight was over an Ipad. “I got kicked on the side of my head, I was pushed down...and I had a black eye all day.  I've been on pain pills just so I can feel better,” he said.
He's shocked his fellow students didn't come to his defense, and his family is downright angry. “This is ridiculous, I just can’t believe how this can happen on school grounds,” said Alex’s sister, Inessa Cherniglo.
The victim's sister wants the school district to be held accountable.  She says staff said nothing about her brother's obvious bruises.  In fact, the school didn't take action until she showed up to complain. “My brother will have to be out of school for three weeks to heal.  My family is now afraid more beatings will happen....he's not going back to school.
The boy who threw the punches was arrested and now facing assault charges. As for the boys who recorded the whole thing...they did nothing illegal by not stepping in, which is something Alex and his family says hurts most of all.
The students can’t face charges for not intervening...but if they know the assailant they could face a conspiracy charge.
